A descriptive quantitative approach was used by surveying 45 coconut farmers in Pewalea village. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics with a Likert scale. The results indicate that 71.1% of farmers had never heard about BSF technology, while 77.8% expressed positive attitudes toward its implementation. A total of 55.6% were willing to adopt the technology if training and assistance were provided, and 64.4% identified access to capital as the main determinant of adoption. This study highlights the potential of BSF as a green innovation supporting circular economy practices and sustainable entrepreneurship in rural areas. The implication of this research is that the successful adoption of BSF technology requires integrated policies that strengthen farmers’ access to training, financial support, and market networks, which in turn can enhance rural economic resilience and environmental sustainability
Muhammad Farih, Ridha Taurisma Lajaria, Asri Djauhar, Grace Permatasari Tandipayuk Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Farih, Ridha Taurisma Lajaria, Asri Djauhar, Grace Permatasari Tandipayuk https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar/article/view/5791 Thu, 04 Dec 2025 16:21:42 +0800 Integration of Internet of Things (IoT)-Based Technological Innovation and Product Branding in Strengthening the Student Entrepreneurship Ecosystem at the Unsulbar Farming Club https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar/article/view/5774
This study aims to analyze the integration of Internet of Things (IoT)-based technological innovations and product branding strategies in strengthening the student entrepreneurship ecosystem at the Farming Club, University of West Sulawesi (Unsulbar). The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative approach is used to measure the increase in productivity and income from harvests after implementing the IoT system, while the qualitative approach explores students’ perceptions and the impact of innovation implementation on entrepreneurial development. The results show that the implementation of an IoT-based automation system using an ESP32 microcontroller, ultrasonic sensors, and a digital monitoring application successfully increased watering efficiency by 40% and reduced water waste as well as labor requirements. Economically, the integration of IoT and product branding increased the income of the Unsulbar Farming Club by 57.4% per harvest cycle. The new packaging and logo design labeled “UFC Hydroponics Vegetables” with the slogan “Petani Milenial, Petani Keren” (Millennial Farmers, Cool Farmers) proved to enhance product appeal, strengthen brand image, and expand market reach. This study concludes that the combination of IoT technology implementation and product branding strategies plays a crucial role in strengthening the student entrepreneurship ecosystem. The integration not only contributes to higher productivity and income but also fosters innovative, creative, and competitive student character in the digital era
Ummu Kalsum, Wahyuni Wahyuni, Romansyah Sahabuddin, Basri Bado Copyright (c) 2025 Ummu Kalsum, Wahyuni, Romansyah Sahabuddin, Basri Bado https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar/article/view/5774 Thu, 04 Dec 2025 16:27:00 +0800 The Impact of Digital Financial Literacy on the Adoption of QR Codes and Mobile Money, and Its Effect on SME Performance in Central Kalimantan https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar/article/view/5891
This study investigates the influence of Digital Financial Literacy (DFL) and Transaction Cost Burden (TCB) on the adoption of QR Code and Mobile Money payment systems, as well as their subsequent impact on the performance of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Utilizing a quantitative methodology and Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA), data were collected from a sample of 300 SMEs in Central Kalimantan that have either adopted or are in the process of adopting digital payment technologies. The results indicate that DFL significantly facilitates the adoption of QR Code systems, whereas TCB also influences adoption, suggesting that cost factors affect but do not entirely inhibit digital adoption. Moreover, the adoption of QR Code systems notably promotes the use of Mobile Money, with both systems positively affecting SME performance by enhancing transaction efficiency and financial management. Digital Financial Literacy indirectly contributes to improved performance through these adoption pathways, while TCB moderates the relationship between adoption and outcomes. These findings extend the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by incorporating literacy and cost considerations, offering new perspectives on the acceptance of digital payments among SMEs. In practice, the study advocates enhancing digital financial literacy initiatives and reducing transaction-cost barriers to promote inclusive digital transformation and sustainable growth of SMEs in emerging economies
Rita Sarlawa, Akbar Azis Copyright (c) 2025 Rita Sarlawa, Akbar Azis https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar/article/view/5891 Thu, 04 Dec 2025 16:28:20 +0800 An Empirical Investigation into the Roles of Price Discounts, Product Quality, and Service Quality in Shaping Generation Z Consumers Purchase Decisions in Makassar, Indonesia https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar/article/view/5902
This study aims to empirically examine and analyze the effects of price discounts, product quality, and service quality on purchase decisions among Generation Z consumers in Makassar's retail market. The research urgency stems from the retail sector's vital role as a driver of domestic economic growth and the rapid shift in consumer behavior, particularly among Generation Z, who are digital natives characterized by technology-driven, consumption-oriented lifestyles. Using an associative quantitative approach, data were collected through surveys and literature reviews, and purposive sampling was used to select 100 Generation Z respondents (born between 1997 and 2012) who had made transactions in modern retail stores in Makassar. Data were analyzed using multiple regression with SPSS 25. The simultaneous test revealed that price discounts, product quality, and service quality collectively had a significant influence on purchase decisions. The coefficient of determination indicating that the model could explain 75.5% of the variation in purchase decisions. Partially, all three independent variables also had positive and significant effects. These findings suggest that improving discount strategies, product standards, and service performance can enhance purchasing decisions among Generation Z consumers in the retail industry
Muhammad Azis, Ridfan Rifadly Abadi, Fajriani Azis, Adriansyah, Andi Anggi Kemalasari Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Azis, Ridfan Rifadly Abadi, Fajriani Azis, Adriansyah, Andi Anggi Kemalasari https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar/article/view/5902 Thu, 04 Dec 2025 16:29:16 +0800 Optimizing Rumpon-Based Green Human Resource Management to Improve Fishermen’s Quality of Life: The Role of Digital Literacy toward Sustainable Development https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar/article/view/5771
This research aims to examine the influence of rumpon-based Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices on fishermen’s quality of life in Majene Regency, emphasizing the mediating and moderating role of digital literacy within the framework of sustainable development. The research was conducted on banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2023 period, with a total sample of 47 companies. Data analysis was carried out using the SPSS version 23 application. The results show that ESG and Intellectual Capital have a significant effect on profitability. However, ESG does not have a significant effect on firm value, while Intellectual Capital and profitability have a significant positive effect on firm value. Furthermore, the findings indicate that profitability is able to mediate the relationship between ESG and firm value, but it cannot mediate the relationship between Intellectual Capital and firm value. These results suggest that the implementation of ESG practices contributes to enhancing firm value through improved profitability, whereas the effect of Intellectual Capital on firm value tends to occur directly without the mediating role of profitability
Yokazio Sharen, Muhammad Fikri Ramadhan, Fitri Indah Mayang Sari Copyright (c) 2025 Yokazio Sharen, Muhammad Fikri Ramadhan, Fitri Indah Mayang Sari https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar/article/view/5874 Sat, 06 Dec 2025 21:24:14 +0800 Compensation, Technology Use, Work Stress, and Organisational Commitment Towards Gen Z's Turnover Intention https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar/article/view/5917
This study examines the factors influencing turnover intention among Generation Z employees in Pangkalpinang, focusing on the roles of compensation, technology use, work stress, and organizational commitment. The rise of turnover among younger employees has created organizational instability, making it crucial to understand the determinants that shape their decision to remain or leave. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 110 Gen Z employees through a structured Likert-scale questionnaire, and the relationships among variables were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings show that work stress has a strong positive and significant effect on turnover intention, indicating that heightened psychological pressure directly increases employees’ desire to leave. Compensation and technology use significantly increase organizational commitment, yet neither variable shows a direct effect on turnover intention. Furthermore, organizational commitment does not mediate the influence of compensation, technology use, or work stress on turnover intention, suggesting that commitment is not a decisive psychological mechanism for employee retention among Generation Z. The study highlights the need for organizations to prioritize stress management, digital support systems, and workplace well-being strategies to reduce turnover. Future research is recommended to examine additional psychological and contextual variables that may better explain retention among younger workers
Sayyid Herdiansyah, Suhardi, Rahmad Firdaus Copyright (c) 2025 Sayyid Herdiansyah, Suhardi, Rahmad Firdaus https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar/article/view/5917 Mon, 08 Dec 2025 18:41:26 +0800 Implementation of Risk Management in Micro and Small Enterprises: Case Study at Kota Ternate https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar/article/view/5915
Ternate city as a trading hub in North Maluku, holds great potential as well as its own challenges for MSMEs.
