Abstract

Conflict is part of the cycle of power that often occurs in various regions. The Middle East region seems to be inseparable from the chaos of conflict and violence that always adorns every head line of media around the world. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors causing tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran in the Middle East region. The preparation of this research uses a qualitative approach with literature review data collection techniques sourced from various literature such as books, journals, articles, official news related to this research. The results of this study show that the factors causing the tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran in the Middle East region include sect/ideological interests and conflict interests in Yemen.
