Hewan uji yang digunakan berupa benih ikan nila pada kepadatan 50 ekor/m². Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancagan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan ukuran benih ikan meliputi perlakuan A (1-2 : 1-2 cm); Perlakuan B (1-2 : 2-3 cm); Perlakuan C (1-2 : 3-5 cm); Perlakuan D (1-2 : 5-7 cm). Parameter yang diamati meliputi pertumbuhan berat (g), Panjang (cm), sintasan (%) dan tingkat kanibalisme (%). Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan D (1-2 cm : 5-7 cm) memiliki tingkat pertumbuhan, sintasan dan kanibalisme yang tinggi.</p> <p><strong>A B S T R A C T</strong></p> <p>The aim of this study was to determine the effect of fish seed size on growth performance and cannibalism level of Tilapia (<em>Oreochromis niloticus</em>). The present study was conducted in December 2021 at Fish Breeding Unit for Community (UPR) in Kanyuara Village, Watang Sidenreng District, Sidenreng Rappang, South Sulawesi Province. A completely randomized design with 4 treatments of fish seed size including treatment A (1-2 : 1-2 cm); Treatment B (1-2 : 2-3 cm); Treatment C (1-2 : 3-5 cm); Treatment D (1-2 : 5-7 cm) were applied for experimental. Data was collected on weight (g), length (cm), survival rate (%) and cannibalism rate (%). Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed for statistic analysis. The test animals used were tilapia seed at a density of 50 fish/m². Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 30 hari terhitung mulai September – Desember 2021 pusat produksi benih ikan dan lobster tawar unggul dan berkualitas program studi budidaya perairan fakultas pertanian, peternakan dan perikanan Universitas muhammadiyah Parepare. Penelitian ini merupakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL)dengan 4 jenis perlakuan dan satu sebagai contoh yaitu A, B, C, dan D, tiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali dari setiap perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan benih ikan nila dengan ukuran panjang tertinggi didapatkan pada perlakuan C (7, 11 cm) A (7, 09 cm) selanjutnya B (6, 85 cm) dan D (6, 8 cm). Pertumbuhan berat C (5, 21 gram) A (4, 48 gram) selanjynya B (4, 17 gram) dan D (3, 54 gram). Nilai tingkat sintasan A (83%) sedangkan perlakuan lainnya yaaitu B (81%) C (78%) dan D (77%). Nilai konversi pakan pada benih nila menunjukkan hasil tertinggi didapatkan pada perlakuan C (2, 23) A (2, 67) D (3, 24) dan C (3, 54).</p> <p><strong>A B S T R A C T</strong></p> <p>The present study aims to determine the effect of multivitamins incorporated into feed on the growth, survival rate and feed conversion ratio of tilapia (<em>Oreochromis niloticus</em>) larvae. This research was carried out for 30 days from September - December 2021 at the Center for lobster and fish production, Faculty of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, University of Muhammadiyah Parepare. A completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 feeding regimes: A, B, C, and D was applied. The results showed that the growth of tilapia seeds with the highest length was found in treatment C (7.11 cm) A (7.09 cm), then B (6.85 cm) and D (6.8 cm). Growth in weight C (5.21 grams) A (4.48 grams) then B (4.17 grams) and D (3.54 grams). The highest survival rate was obtained from A (83%), followed by B (81%) C (78%) and D (77%). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 30 hari terhitung mulai bulan Februari sampai Maret 2022 di Laboratorium Tanah, Tanaman Pupuk, Air Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Pertanian Maros. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini akan ditampilkan dalam bentuk grafik dan tabulasi. Adapun hasil yang di peroleh dari analisa terhadap parameter yang &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;diuji, terlihat bahwa pupuk kompos biochar yang terbuat dari limbah rumput laut <em>(Sargassum </em>sp<em>)</em> yang mengandung unsur hara mikro maupun makro, diantaranya yang dibutuhkan oleh perikanan adalah Nitrogen (N), Fosfor (P), Kalium (K), Kalsium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), Sulfur (S), Besi (Fe), Mangan (Mn).</p> <p><strong>A B S T R A C T</strong></p> <p>This study aims to determine the nutrient composition of active biochar of seaweed (<em>Sargarsum</em> sp)<em>.</em> This research was carried out for 30 days starting from February to March 2022 in the soil, fertilizer plant, water laboratory of the agricultural research and development agency. The data obtained in this study will be displayed in the form of graphs and tabulations. Penelitian dilakukan selama 45 hari di Instalasi Tambak Percobaan (ITP) Balai Penelitian dan Pengembangan Budidaya Air Payau (BPPBAP), Desa Punaga, Kecamatan Mangarabombang, Kabupaten Takalar. Wadah yang digunakan adalah kotak plastik berukuran 87 cm x 64 cm dengan ketinggian air di dalam wadah 40 cm. Penelitian terdiri atas 4 perlakuan bobot <em>Codium</em> sp. yaitu A (50 g), B (100 g), C (50 g) dan D (200 g) dan masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali.&nbsp; Analisis data menggunakan ANOVA dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% dan uji lanjut W-Tuckey menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penyerapan yang dilakukan oleh rumput laut <em>Codium</em> sp. dengan bobot bibit 200 g yang menghasilkan laju penyerapan N-total tertinggi 0.1133±0.01155% sedangkan laju penyerapan P-Total tertinggi yaitu pada bobot 100 g dengan nilai 0.00500±0.002646%.</p> <p><strong>A B S T R A C T</strong></p> <p>Cultivation of <em>Codium</em> sp. seaweed with different seed weights on the growth media in the form of super intensive shrimp pond liquid waste is a promising method for seaweed aquaculture. The study was conducted for 45 days at the Experimental Pond Installation (ITP) Research and Development Center for Brackish Water Aquaculture (BPPBAP), Punaga Village, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency. A plastic box is used by the container in this research measuring 87 cm x 64 cm with a water level of 40. The study consisted of 4 weight treatments of Codium sp. namely A (50 g), B (100 g), C (50 g) and D (200 g) and each treatment was repeated three times. Data of research is analyzed by ANOVA with a 95% confidence level and further W-Tuckey test using SPSS version 23 software. Bahan uji yang digunakan berupa benihikanniIa sejumIah 100 benih daIam 1 waring, pakan dan <em>Sargassum sp</em>. PeneIitian ini diIakukan dengan Rancangan Acak Iengkap (RAL). Dengan 4 perIakuan yakin A, B, C, &amp; D serta menggunakan 12 waring untuk 1 kaIi penguIangan peneIitian terhitung setiap perIakuan dengan 3 kaIi penguIangan. HasiI peneIitian ini pemberian <em>Sargarssum sp</em> pada pakan berpengaruh terhadap nisbah keIamindan sintasan benih ikan niIa (<em>O. niIoticus). </em>Begitupun dengan pemberian dosis <em>Sargarssum </em>sp terbaik pada pakan sebesar 300 mI/ 500 mg pakan menghasiIkan nisbah keIamin jantan sebesar 77% dengan sintasan sebesar 96%.</p> <p><strong>A B S T R A C T</strong></p> <p>This research aims to determine the effect of <em>Sargassum </em>sp on the sex ratio, survival rate of niIa fish fry. This research was conducted for three months from November to December 2021 at the Center for Superior and Quality Freshwater Fish and Lobster Production, Campus II UM Parepare South Sulawesi Province. The test materials used were 100 fish larvae in 1 net, feed and Sargassum sp. This research was conducted with a completely randomized design (CRD). With 4 sure treatments A, B, C, &amp; D and using 12 nets for 1 time of research repetition counted for each treatment with 3 times of repetition. The results of this study the administration of Sargarssum sp to feed has an effect on the sex ratio and survival of niIa fish (O. nioticus) fry. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 30 hari terhitung mulai September sampai dengan Oktober 2021 di pusat produksi balai benih ikan Majjeling Kabupaten Sidrap, Sulawesi Selatan. Keseragam C (8 hari) A (0 hari) selanjutnya B (4 hari) dan D (12 hari).</p> <p><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p> <p>This study aims to determine the effect of the broodstock resting periods on tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) production. This research was carried out for 30 days from September to October 2021 at the Majjeling fish seed production Centre, Sidrap Regency, South Sulawesi. A completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments was used in this study, consisting of treatments A (0 days), B (4 days), C (8 days), D (12 days) and each treatment was given 3 replications. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used as a statistical test. The results showed that the spawning process for tilapia production produced more, namely pond C (8 days), A (0 days), then B (4 days) and D (12 days).
