Abstract
The cultivation of plants using the hydroponic method is increasingly developing as a modern agricultural solution, especially in areas with limited land. Compared to conventional farming, hydroponics offers efficiency as plants absorb nutrients directly from water, reducing land and water requirements. Hydroponic farming has become an innovative alternative to increasing agricultural productivity, particularly in land-constrained areas. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the hydroponic system in improving the yield of lettuce plants (Lactuca sativa) in limited areas in the Ciamis Regency. The research method used includes direct observation. The results show that hydroponic techniques can significantly increase lettuce productivity, with faster growth rates, more optimal yields, and more efficient water and land use. Additionally, this technique reduces the risk of pest and disease attacks compared to conventional methods. Thus, applying hydroponics in limited areas can be a sustainable solution to support food security and improve the welfare of farmers in the Ciamis Regency.
