Planning for a Minapolitan Area Based on a Geographic Information System Through the Integrated Coastal Zone Management Concept in Bonde Village, Pamboang District, Majene Regency
Abstract
Background: Bonde Village has an area of 1.15
km2 and is located on the coast, so that the majority
of the population work as fishermen. As a coastal
village, Bonde Village has enormous fishery
potential, as seen from the abundance of
fishermen's marine catches with various types of
fish, one of which is the ambu fish which can only
be found in a few places in West Sulawesi. Behind
Bonde Village's fishery potential there are also
problems that can hinder the development of its
fishery production, namely the lack of support
and collaboration between sectors.
Purpose of the Study: in order to overcome
problems in the fisheries sector and develop the
coastal area of Bonde Village in an integrated and
integrated manner in the management and
utilization of natural resources and regional
environmental services in supporting increased
economic competitiveness of coastal communities
in Bonde Village, this study aims to identify
planning for the minapolitan area of Bonde Village
based on the Geographic Information System
through the Integrated Coastal Zone Management
Concept.
Methods: The method used in this study consisted
of two methods, namely the Socio- Ecological
System (SES) analysis method and the SWOT
analysis method. The Socio-Ecological System (SES)
analysis method aims to determine the connectivity
network of social-ecological systems from
integrated coastal villages, while the SWOT analysis
method aims to plan strategies and directions for
the development of Bonde coastal villages based on
strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
