PERUBAHAN GARIS PANTAI DAN KECENDERUNGAN PENAMBANGAN GALIAN C DI KAWASAN PESISIR DESA WANGEL KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN ARU MALUKU: PENDEKATAN FISIKA LINGKUNGAN
Abstract
Pembangunan wilayah yang pesat di Desa Wangel, Kabupaten Kepulauan Aru, menyebabkan peningkatan aktivitas penambangan galian C, terutama pasir laut, yang berdampak langsung pada perubahan garis pantai. Fenomena ini merupakan hasil dari interaksi antara proses alami seperti abrasi dan akresi dengan aktivitas manusia yang menghasilkan penurunan garis pantai. Melalui pendekatan fisika, artikel ini mengkaji proses-proses fisik yang terlibat, seperti energi gelombang laut yang menyebabkan erosi serta dampak mekanis penambangan terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) dan Net Shoreline Movement (NSM) untuk mengukur perubahan garis pantai antara tahun 2012 dan 2023. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa abrasi lebih dominan daripada akresi, yang dipercepat oleh penambangan galian C. Studi ini diharapkan memberikan wawasan bagi pengelolaan sumber daya alam yang berkelanjutan.
