About the Journal
JSDSI (Journal of Statistics, Data Science, and Informatics) is a scholarly journal published by the Statistics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Sulawesi Barat. JSDSI provides a platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate research findings, methodological developments, and scholarly reviews in statistics, data science, and informatics, covering both theoretical and applied perspectives.
Focus and Scope
JSDSI welcomes submissions in (but not limited to):
1. Theoretical and applied statistics
2. Statistical modeling, inference, and multivariate analysis
3. Statistical computing, simulation, and optimization
4. Data science: data processing, exploratory analysis, and data visualization
5. Machine learning, data mining, and data-driven artificial intelligence
6. Databases, information systems, and software engineering supporting data analytics
7. Data-driven applications across diverse domains (health, environment, economics, education, social sciences, industry, and others)
Publication Frequency
JSDSI is published biannually, with issues released in June and December.
Peer-Review Process
All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening (scope, completeness, and compliance with author guidelines), followed by a double-blind peer-review process to ensure quality, objectivity, and publication integrity. The final decision is made by the editor based on reviewers’ recommendations.
Open Access Policy
JSDSI is an Open Access journal; all published articles are freely and permanently accessible to readers.
Publication Ethics
JSDSI is committed to ethical scholarly publishing. Authors must ensure originality, avoid plagiarism, and comply with proper citation and authorship practices. Any ethical misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate publication) will be handled in accordance with the journal’s policies.
Submission
JSDSI is managed through an online submission system. Authors are invited to submit manuscripts via the Submission menu and follow the instructions provided in the Author Guidelines.
