The article should include the most recent and relevant references in the field. The structure should include an Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature review, Research method, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Implications for Research, and References.
-
Review: Reviews offer a comprehensive analysis of the existing literature within a field of study, identifying current gaps or problems. They should be critical and constructive and provide recommendations for future research. No new, unpublished data should be presented. The structure can include an Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature review, Research method, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Implications for Research, and References.
Submission Process
Manuscripts for MANDAR: Management Development and Applied Research Journal should be submitted online at https://ojs.unsulbar.ac.id/index.php/mandar. The submitting author, who is generally the corresponding author, is responsible for the manuscript during the submission and peer review process. The submitting author must ensure that all eligible co-authors have been included in the author list and that they have all read and approved the submitted version of the manuscript. To submit your manuscript, register and log in to the submission website. Once you have registered, click here to go to the submission form for MANDAR. All co-authors can see the manuscript details in the submission system, if they register and log in using the e-mail address provided during manuscript submission.
Accepted File Formats
Authors are encouraged to use the Microsoft Word template to prepare their manuscript. Using the template file will substantially shorten the time to complete copy-editing and publication of accepted manuscripts. The total amount of data for all files must not exceed 50 MB. If this is a problem, please contact the Editorial Office jurnalmandar@unsulbar.ac.id. Accepted file formats are:

A cover letter must be included with each manuscript submission. It should be concise and explain why the content of the paper is significant, placing the findings in the context of existing work. It should explain why the manuscript fits the scope of the journal.
Any prior submissions of the manuscript to MANDAR: Management Development and Applied Research Journal must be acknowledged. If this is the case, it is strongly recommended that the previous manuscript ID is provided in the submission system, which will ease your current submission process. The names of proposed and excluded reviewers should be provided in the submission system, not in the cover letter.
All cover letters are required to include the following statements:

- All authors have approved the manuscript and agree with its submission to MANDAR.
Research Manuscript Sections
- Title: The title of the manuscript must fully reflect the topic of the research and its content. It must be short and concrete (not more than 15 words). In addition, it should interest the reader and be written in a scientific style. It is appropriate to point to the object of research or concretize it using a colon or brackets. It is not recommended to use abbreviations, and if you do use them, then only use commonly known ones.
- Abstract: The abstract should be between 150 and 250. The abstract should be a single paragraph and should follow the style of structured abstracts, but without headings: 1) Background: Place the question addressed in a broad context and highlight the purpose of the study; 2) Methods: Describe briefly the main methods or treatments applied. Include any relevant preregistration numbers, and species and strains of any animals used; 3) Results: Summarize the article's main findings; and 4) Implications: Indicate the main implication or interpretations. The abstract should be an objective representation of the article: it must not contain results which are not presented and substantiated in the main text and should not exaggerate the main conclusions.
- Keywords: The purpose of keywords is to give the reader an idea of the content of the article. They should reflect the area of the study. The number of keywords should be 5-10 on average. There should not be sentences, but words or word groups. There is no need to replicate words from the title of the manuscript. We recommend that the keywords are specific to the article, yet reasonably common within the subject discipline.
- Introduction: The introduction should briefly place the study in a broad context and highlight why it is important. It should define the purpose of the work and its significance, including specific hypotheses being tested. The current state of the research field should be reviewed carefully and key publications cited. Please highlight controversial and diverging hypotheses when necessary. Finally, briefly mention the main aim of the work and highlight the main conclusions. Keep the introduction comprehensible to scientists working outside the topic of the paper.
- Literature Review: Literature review provides an analysis and generalization of relevant works, which describe the essence of the problem and/or give an understanding of the previous efforts to solve it. The Literature Review should comply with the aim of the study (fitness for purpose) and represent the results of a critical analysis of the analytical base for testing the research hypothesis. Literature review must not be limited only to works that were published in the country where the author lives and works (the problem should be studied globally). Only those sources are given and analyzed in the paper that are really valuable for the author’s research. The author cannot just compile long lists of authors and their works that are relevant to the subject under study. The author cannot take the pieces of review text from other works with reference to other authors and include their works in the list of references. When citing, the author is obliged to observe ethical and moral principles. It is recommended to finish the literature review with the presentation of unsolved issues, identification of contradictions in the results and findings of the previous research, justification of the need to continue the studies in this area, and choice of the specific topic (direction) of this study.
- Research method: They should be described with sufficient detail to allow others to replicate and build on published results. New methods should be described in detail while well-established methods can be briefly described and appropriately cited. If methods and procedures offered are used in other works, the author should refer to the original sources.
Give the name and version of any software used and make clear whether computer code used is available. Include any pre-registration codes. Where applicable, authors are required to disclose in this section details of how GenAI has been used in the paper (e.g., to generate text, data or graphics or assist in study design or data collection, analysis or interpretation). The use of GenAI for superficial text editing (e.g., regarding grammar, spelling, punctuation and formatting) does not need to be declared. - Results: This is where empirical or theoretical data obtained during the research process are presented. It is recommended to use figures, tables, graphs, and schemes. Interpretation of the results obtained is not performed in this section. Also, results obtained previously by the authors or other scientists should not be presented.
- Discussion: Here, the interpretation of the results obtained during the research is performed. Authors should discuss the results and how they can be interpreted in perspective of previous studies and of the working hypotheses. The findings and their implications should be discussed in the broadest context possible and limitations of the work highlighted.
- Conclusions: In this section, the main ideas of the manuscript are presented, and the obtained results and their novelty are demonstrated. The possibility of practical use of the obtained results should be outlined, and future research directions may also be mentioned.
- Implications for Research: This section is not mandatory but can be added to the manuscript if the discussion is unusually long or complex.
- Acknowledgments: In this section you can acknowledge any support given which is not covered by the author contribution or funding sections. This may include administrative and technical support, or donations in kind (e.g., materials used for experiments). Where GenAI has been used for purposes such as generating text, data or graphics, study design, or data collection, analysis or interpretation, please add.
Declaration of Generative AI in the writing process: "In preparing this manuscript, the author(s) used (name of tool/service/services, etc.) for (specify purpose). After use, the author(s) processed and edited the text and bear full responsibility for the content of the publication." If the authors used only basic tools to check grammar, spelling, references, etc., then there is no need to include a declaration. - References: A reference list is always alphabetically arranged. All sources should be individually listed at the end of the manuscript, using the last names of the authors. We recommend preparing the references with a bibliography software package, such as Mendeley or ReferenceManager to avoid typing mistakes and duplicated references. The reference list should include the full title of the publication, as recommended by the APA style guide.
