Eduvelop: Journal of English Education and Development upholds a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality and credibility of the research we publish. Our double-blind review system maintains the anonymity of both authors and reviewers, with experts in the relevant fields evaluating each submission based on its scholarly significance, originality, and relevance to the journal’s focus.

  1. Preliminary Assessment: Each manuscript undergoes an initial assessment by the editorial team to confirm its alignment with the journal's scope and publication standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria or exhibit more than 20% similarity to existing works are immediately rejected. The team also checks for adherence to formatting and citation guidelines as outlined in the author's guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply are returned for correction and resubmission. Manuscripts that pass this preliminary assessment are forwarded to the peer review stage.

  2. Selection of Reviewers: The editorial board selects at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the manuscript's subject area and a strong background in relevant research. The identities of both the authors and reviewers remain confidential (Double-blind peer review). Reviewers are chosen from institutions different from those of the authors to avoid conflicts of interest, and the board ensures that the selected reviewers are well-qualified. Reviewer invitations are typically extended within four weeks.

  3. Evaluation Process: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s scientific rigor, originality, validity, and relevance to the field, generally within two weeks. They provide detailed feedback to assist authors in refining their manuscripts, and recommend acceptance, revisions, or rejection based on their assessment.

  4. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editor-in-chief makes the final decision regarding acceptance, rejection, or revision requests. If reviewer opinions differ significantly, an additional reviewer may be consulted. The editor’s decision, along with anonymous reviewer comments, is communicated to the authors. We aim to make the first decision within one month and to publish accepted manuscripts within 4 to 8 weeks of acceptance.

  5. Revision Stage: Authors of manuscripts requiring revisions are expected to incorporate the reviewers' suggestions and submit a revised version, highlighting the changes made and including a letter addressing the feedback. Revision deadlines are two weeks for minor revisions and four weeks for major revisions. The original reviewers reassess manuscripts with major revisions to ensure that the revisions have addressed their concerns effectively.

  6. Final Steps to Publication: Accepted manuscripts are submitted in their final form for copyediting and formatting before publication.

Through this comprehensive peer review process, Eduvelop ensures that the research we publish adheres to the highest standards of scholarly integrity and quality.
