Publication Ethic

JEPA Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the guidelines and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that:

  • The submitted manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • All sources of data and information are properly cited.
  • Plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification are strictly prohibited.
  • Authorship is limited to those who have made significant contributions to the research.
  • All co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.
  • Any conflict of interest is clearly disclosed.
  • If errors are discovered after publication, authors must promptly notify the editor.

2. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for:

  • Making publication decisions based on the manuscript’s academic merit, originality, and relevance.
  • Ensuring a fair, unbiased, and confidential review process.
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest in handling submissions.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
  • Taking appropriate action in cases of ethical violations, including retractions or corrections when necessary.

3. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers should:

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of manuscripts.
  • Maintain confidentiality of the review process.
  • Identify relevant published work not cited by the authors.
  • Report any suspected plagiarism or ethical misconduct.
  • Decline to review manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist.

4. Publication Decisions

  • All manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process.
  • The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript rests with the editor.
  • Decisions are based on the importance, originality, clarity, and relevance of the manuscript.

5. Plagiarism and Misconduct

  • JEPA Journal uses plagiarism detection tools to screen submissions.
  • Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or unethical content will be rejected.
  • In cases of proven misconduct, the journal may retract the article and notify relevant parties.

6. Conflicts of Interest

  • Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence the research or its evaluation.

7. Data Transparency and Reproducibility

  • Authors are encouraged to provide clear and accurate data.
  • Data should be available for verification when required.

8. Corrections and Retractions

  • Errors identified after publication will be corrected through errata or corrigenda.
  • Articles may be retracted in cases of serious ethical violations or invalid findings.
