Author Guidelines

Aims and Scope

Journal of Mathematics: Theory and Applications is a scientific journal that accommodates scientific work in the fields of mathematics, theory, and applications. Our scope includes, but is not limited to: Algebra, Analysis, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Mathematics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, and Financial Mathematics.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts are subject to a strict double-blind peer-review process. Each paper will be evaluated by at least two independent experts in the relevant field to ensure scientific quality, originality, and adherence to the journal's scope.

General Layout and Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts must be written in English and should not exceed 20 pages, including references. The document must be prepared on A4 paper, using a single-column layout and one-sided format. The required margins are 18 mm for the top and bottom, and 16 mm for the left and right.

The main text must be typed in Times New Roman, 12 pt, and aligned in a justified format.

The manuscript must be arranged in the following order: Title, Author(s), Affiliation(s), Abstract, Introduction, Literature Review (optional), Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgement (optional), and References.

It must briefly describe the background, objectives, methods (optional), results, and conclusions. The abstract must not contain tables, figures, references, abbreviations, or mathematical equations.

Keywords must consist of a maximum of five words, arranged alphabetically and separated by commas.

Mathematical Equations, Figures, and Tables

Mathematical equations must be created using Equation Editor or MathType. All equations must be centered and numbered sequentially on the right-hand side using parentheses, e.g., (1), (2), and so on. The font must follow Times New Roman style, with appropriate sizing for symbols, subscripts, and superscripts. Variables must be written in italics, while vectors must be in bold italics.

Figures must be centered and accompanied by captions placed below the image. Each caption must begin with “Figure X.” in bold, followed by a clear and concise description. Captions should not end with a period.

Tables must have captions placed above the table and centered. Each caption must begin with “Table X.” in bold. The table content must use Times New Roman 10 pt.

Theorems and Proofs

Definitions, theorems, lemmas, corollaries, propositions, and examples must be numbered consecutively. Statements must be written in italic format.

Each proof must end with a closing symbol (■).

References

All references must be written in IEEE format, using square brackets for citations, such as [1], [2], and so on.

Authors are required to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote. All cited works must be included in the reference list.

Publication Frequency

JOMTA is published twice a year (bi-annually), providing a consistent platform for researchers to disseminate their findings.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Authors must ensure their manuscript complies with the following criteria. Submissions may be returned if they do not adhere to these guidelines:

The submission has not been previously published nor is it before another journal for consideration.
The file is in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or RTF format.
URLs for references have been provided where available.
The text is single-spaced, uses 12-point font, and employs italics rather than underlining.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements in the Author Guidelines.
Please note that all co-authors are required to be registered in the metadata during the third step of the submission process. Co-authors who are not entered at this stage cannot be included in the final published version of the article.
Please also note that, upon acceptance of the manuscript after the peer-review process, the author is expected to cover the applicable publication fees (Article Processing Charges/APCs). Information about the payment process will be communicated after the manuscript has been officially accepted for publication.
