Publication Ethics

SIPAMANDAQ: Journal of Physics Education Research and Innovation is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity throughout the editorial and publication process. This statement is based on the principles and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to editors, reviewers, and authors.

Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

Making publication decisions based on the quality, originality, significance, and relevance of the manuscript.
Evaluating manuscripts without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religious belief, or political philosophy.
Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
Avoiding conflicts of interest in the editorial process.
Taking appropriate action in cases of suspected research misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical research practices.

Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

Conduct objective, fair, and constructive reviews.
Maintain the confidentiality of all manuscript information.
Identify relevant published work that has not been cited.
Inform the editor of any similarities between the manuscript and other published works.
Decline the review if they have a conflict of interest or lack sufficient expertise.
Complete the review within the agreed timeframe.

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must:

Submit original and unpublished work.
Ensure that the manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.
Present research results accurately without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.
Properly acknowledge the work of others through appropriate citations.
Obtain ethical approval when research involves human participants or animals, where applicable.
Disclose all sources of research funding.
Declare any potential conflicts of interest.
Ensure that all listed authors have made substantial contributions to the research and approve the submitted version of the manuscript.

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the study. Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately.

Plagiarism Policy

SIPAMANDAQ has zero tolerance for plagiarism.

All submitted manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review process. Manuscripts containing substantial plagiarism, duplicate publication, self-plagiarism, or other forms of academic misconduct will be rejected.

Data Integrity

Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all data presented in their manuscripts. Fabrication, falsification, selective reporting, or manipulation of research data is considered unethical and unacceptable.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, personal, institutional, or professional relationships that could influence the evaluation or publication of a manuscript.

Research Involving Human Participants

Research involving human participants should comply with recognized ethical standards and institutional regulations. Where required, authors must state that ethical approval was obtained from the appropriate ethics committee and that informed consent was obtained from participants.

Corrections and Retractions

If significant errors or ethical concerns are identified after publication, the journal will publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when necessary, following internationally accepted publishing standards.
