The Journal of International Issues in the Global South (JIIGS) is an academic journal managed and published by the International Relations Laboratory, Universitas Sulawesi Barat. JIIGS focuses on the study of various international dynamics and issues concerning countries and societies in the Global South.
In this context, the Global South does not refer solely to geographical locations in the Southern Hemisphere. Rather, it also reflects the positions, experiences, and dynamics of countries and societies in relation to the Global North and the broader international order.
JIIGS welcomes scholarly articles that examine a wide range of international dynamics and issues related to the Global South, including interstate relations, Global South–Global North relations, and interactions with various actors and institutions within the international system.
