Author Guidelines

Indonesian Journal of Ecology and Conservation (IJEC) accepts manuscripts in the form of original research articles and review articles that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submitted manuscripts must be written in clear, concise academic English or Bahasa Indonesia and must follow the journal template.

Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts using the IJEC template. The template can be downloaded from the following links:

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized in the following structure:

Title
The title should be concise, informative, and not exceed 20 words.

Author(s)
Provide full names of all authors without academic titles, along with institutional affiliations and corresponding author email.

Abstract
The abstract should be written in a single paragraph (150–250 words) and must include background, research objectives, methods, main results, and conclusions.

Keywords
Provide 3–6 keywords arranged alphabetically.

Introduction
This section should present the background of the study, highlight the research gap, state the objectives, and clearly indicate the novelty of the research.

Methods
This section should describe the study area (if applicable), materials, data collection procedures, and data analysis methods in sufficient detail to allow replication.

Results and Discussion
This section should present the research findings clearly and discuss their significance by comparing them with relevant previous studies.

Conclusion
Summarize the main findings of the study and highlight their scientific contribution and implications.

Acknowledgment (optional)
Provide acknowledgment to funding agencies or individuals who contributed to the research.

Author Contributions (optional but recommended)
Specify the contribution of each author to the manuscript.

Conflict of Interest
Authors must declare that there is no conflict of interest related to this study.

References
All references must be relevant and up-to-date, with a minimum of 20 references. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero. The citation style should follow APA format (or sesuai gaya yang kamu tetapkan).

Technical Requirements

  • Manuscripts should be between 4000–7000 words.
  • The manuscript must follow the IJEC template.
  • Use clear academic language.
  • Ensure all citations are properly referenced.

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be clearly presented and numbered sequentially. Table titles should be placed above the table, while figure captions should be placed below the figure. All figures must have high resolution (minimum 300 dpi) and must be cited in the text.

Submission Guidelines

Before submission, authors must ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere.
  • The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript follows the IJEC template and formatting guidelines.
  • All references are properly formatted.
  • The manuscript has been checked for plagiarism.

All manuscripts must be submitted through the Open Journal System (OJS). Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer comments and must provide a clear response to reviewers during the revision process.
