Abstract
Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman konsep dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi oleh siswa dalam memahami konsep materi getaran dan gelombang. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan hasil instrumen survey. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 20 siswa kelas XII MIPA 1 dan 20 siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 di SMA Katolik Sibolga. Pada penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan sebagai berikut: 1) Siswa masuk dalam kategori sedang dalam hal pemahaman konsep materi getaran dan gelombang dengan persentase 35%. 2) Kendala tertinggi pada pemahaman konsep materi getaran dan gelombang disebabkan karena kurangnya sumber daya pendukung dan kurangnya praktik atau eksperimen langsung dalam proses pelajaran fisika di sekolah dengan persentase 87,5%.
