Publication Ethics

PHYDAGOGIC is fully committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Code of Conduct. All parties involved in the publishing process—authors, editors, and reviewers—are expected to agree upon and comply with the following ethical behavior standards.

1. Duties of Editors

• Publication Decisions: Editors are responsible for deciding which of the submitted articles should be published, based on the manuscript's validity, originality, scientific importance, and relevance to the journal's scope.
• Fair Play: Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
• Confidentiality: Editors and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, and other editorial advisers.

2. Duties of Reviewers

• Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the paper.
• Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively without personal criticism of the author. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
• Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and alert the editor to any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper.

3. Duties of Authors

• Originality: Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works and properly cited others' work. Plagiarism in all its forms is unacceptable.
• Data Access: Authors should be prepared to provide raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review if requested.
• Authorship: Authorship is limited to those who made significant contributions to the paper using CRediT roles.
• Errors: Authors must notify the editor immediately if a significant error is discovered in their published work to retract or correct the paper.

Conflict of Interest & Disclosures

All parties must disclose financial or other substantive conflicts of interest. Unpublished materials in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's or reviewer's own research without express written consent.
