AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Phydagogic: Jurnal Fisika dan Pembelajarannya

Language Policy: Phydagogic: Jurnal Fisika dan Pembelajarannya accepts research articles written in English or Indonesian. Manuscripts submitted to this journal must be original works that have not been published previously in any other journal and are not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.

1. General Requirements

  • Language: English or Indonesian (grammatically correct, clear, and academic tone).
  • Manuscript Length: 3,000 – 4,500 words or a maximum of 12 pages (including tables, figures, and references).
  • Font Type: Times New Roman (TNR).
  • Page Margins: 3 cm for Top, Bottom, Left, and Right margins.
  • Line Spacing:
    • Main Body Text: 1.15 line spacing.
    • Abstract & References: 1.0 (Single line spacing).
  • Paragraph Formatting: First line of each paragraph should be indented by 1 cm.

2. Manuscript Structure & Formatting

A. Title

  • Indonesian Title: Times New Roman 14pt, Bold, ALL CAPS, Centered, maximum 14 words.
  • English Title: Times New Roman 11pt, Bold-Italic, Title Case, Centered.
  • Note: Both Indonesian and English titles must be provided regardless of the submission language.

B. Author(s) Information

  • Author Name(s): Written in full without academic titles/degrees, TNR 12pt, Centered. Use numerical superscripts (1, 2, n) to link authors to their affiliations.
  • Affiliation: Complete departmental and institutional address (e.g., Department of Physics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sulawesi Barat, Majene, Indonesia).
  • Email: Active email address for all corresponding and co-authors.

C. Abstract & Keywords

  • Bilingual Abstract: All manuscripts must include abstracts in both Indonesian and English.
    • Indonesian Abstract: TNR 11pt, Regular.
    • English Abstract: TNR 11pt, Italic.
  • Length & Format: Maximum 300 words, single paragraph, single-spaced (1.0).
  • Content: Concise summary of research aims/purposes, methods, main findings, and conclusions. Use past tense for methods and results in English abstract.
  • Exclusions: Must not contain citations, tables, figures, or mathematical formulas.
  • Keywords: 2 – 5 specific and representative keywords or phrases.

D. Introduction

Proportion: 15–20% of total length. Includes background, research rationale, urgency, relevant literature, problem justification, and explicit research aims. Written narratively in paragraphs without separate subheadings.

E. Method

Detailed and comprehensive enough for replication. Includes research design, time/location, target/subject/population-sample, procedures, instruments, and data analysis techniques. Optional subheadings may be used (TNR 12pt, Bold, Title Case, no numbering).

F. Results and Discussion

Proportion: 60–70% of total length. Main body of the article.

  • Tables: Centered, open-table style (horizontal lines only, no vertical lines). Title placed above the table.
  • Figures: Centered, title placed below the figure (TNR 10pt, Bold, single-spaced).
  • Discussion: Interprets findings, answers what, why, and so what, compares results with existing theories/literature, and states scientific implications.
  • Equations: Written using MS Equation Editor or MathType, centered, with equation numbers right-aligned in parentheses, e.g., (1).

G. Conclusion and Recommendations

Written in narrative paragraphs (avoid bullet points or numbering). Must directly answer research goals and highlight scientific novelty/contributions.

H. Acknowledgments (Optional)

Acknowledge supporting individuals, institutions, or funding agencies. Specify official grant/contract numbers where applicable.

3. Reference Specifications

  • Source Quality: At least 80% from primary peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Recency: At least 80% published within the last 10 years.
  • Citation Style: Numerical System in square brackets according to order of appearance in text, e.g., [1], [2].
  • Spacing: Single-spaced (1.0), with 1 blank line between references.
