Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan High Order Thinking Skills dengan menggunakan Model Project Based Learning Berbantuan Simulasi PhET. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Quasi Eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo dan sampel terdiri dari dari dua kelas yakni kelas XI MIPA 2 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas XI MIPA 2 sebagai kelompok kontrol yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik sampling purposive dengan asumsi bahwa populasi homogen. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi, dan lembar keterlaksanaan RPP. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Di SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo pada mata pelajaran fisika masih dalam kategori HOTS rendah, ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata hasil nilai HOTS pre test kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas XI MIPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang dimana skor rata-rata nilai HOTS kelompok eksperimen sebesar 57,64 dan untuk kelompok kontrol sebesar 59,05 (2) Penerapan model Project Based Learning berbantuan simulasi PhET dapat meningkatkan HOTS peserta didik, dapat dilihat dari tabel 4.10 deskripsi peningkatan hasil HOTS peserta didik kelompok eksperimen dengan selisih 17,53 dan hasil uji N-Gain yang dimana hasil interpretasi pada kelompok eksperimen berada pada interpretasi sedang.
